DESCRIPTION: Al-Mahdi Institute invites paper submissions for its upcoming international conference, “Who Cares? Care and Support Practitioners in Muslim Contexts” (27–28th April 2026).This interdisciplinary event explores the question of who provides care within Muslim communities, how such work is sustained, and under what ethical, social, and theological frameworks. Scholars and practitioners are invited to examine issues such as mental health, domestic abuse, family breakdown, migration, and the professional–religious dynamics that shape care provision in Muslim contexts.Selected papers will be featured in an edited volume with Brill.Abstracts (max. 400 words) are due by 12 January 2026.Full details: www.almahdi.edu/msc-cfp
