3rd International Conference on Critical Muslim Studies:

“ReOrienting the (Global) South”,

University of Leeds,

24-26 June 2024

This conference seeks to explore the intricate intersections between anti-colonialism, ethno-nationalism, and the emergence of Muslim political identities following the de facto abolition of the Caliphate in 1924. As we mark the centenary of this historic event, our conference seeks to investigate the processes that have firmly positioned Muslimness and the Muslim Question as a critical aspect of the global South.

Deadline for abstracts: 31 January 2024.
