This conference invites scholars in the field to focus on the history and legacy of Fatimid rule in Sicily (909-1050s). Proposed papers can address any aspect of Fatimid rule in Sicily, including the functioning of state and bureaucracy, trade networks, diplomacy and war, symbols and language of Fatimid power, literature, religion in connection with Sicily.
